Couple’s stormy relationship on the rocks
Jacqueline Jossa’s world was turned upside down last week when it was revealed she’d split from husband Dan Osborne. The actress is eight months pregnant with her second child, and the couple already share daughter Ella, three.
The pair, who married in June 2017, are said to have had a series of rows surrounding Dan working away – particularly before he went away to a boot camp in Marbella, where he was pictured chatting with Love Island’s Gabby Allen.
However, the couple are determined to save their marriage and, even though Dan has moved in with a friend, Jacqueline, 25, told her Twitter followers, “No one needs to comment and get involved in things they don’t know anything about. Daniel and I are dealing with things privately as a team, there are always two sides to every story. Stop with the nasty comments, no one deserves them. Trust me, privacy please.”
Fans of the couple may not be surprised by the acrimonious split, as the beginning of their relationship was just as turbulent. Dan left his ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin when she was just four months pregnant with their son, Teddy. After their son was born, Dan split his time between Megan and new girlfriend Jacqueline.
Dan was later questioned by police after a recording was released of the 26 year old threatening his ex. In a series of vile taunts, Dan threatened to “stick a knife up [Megan’s] **** ” if she ever dated another man. Dan can also be heard shouting, “Never in your f***ing life are you going to be with another man. I can swear on my son’s life. You’re making him cry because you’re a f***ing s***.”
In the recording, Dan also refers to his (then) new relationship with Jacqueline as a “mistake”, claiming that he didn’t mean to get her pregnant. The Eastenders’ actress has since defended his comments, admitting, “I listened to them and I was completely shocked by what I heard – I thought it was disgusting. But it’s something that we’ve worked through as a couple.”
At the time of their split, Megan issued a warning to Jacqueline via an Instagram post, claiming that their relationship was just a “rebound”. “A good person doesn’t get involved with a guy who came out of a relationship after a matter of weeks and has a baby on the way,” she wrote. “Rebound relationships never last.” n
