Nothing gets us more excited than the prospect of a celeb wedding, so our excitement levels went through the roof when we learnt Gemma Collins and James ‘Arg’ Argent are set to get married. Insiders tell heat that the couple – who finally got together a couple of months ago, after years of will they/won’t they dramas – are secretly planning their big day, with the GC telling friends she wants it to be the biggest wedding Essex has ever seen.
“Gemma has always dreamed of getting married, and finally thinks her dreams may come true after Arg fully committed to her,” our source reveals. “She wants it all – a huge white dress, a horsedrawn carriage and feeling like a princess for the whole of the day. She thinks her and Arg are the king and queen of Essex, and would want their wedding to reflect that.
“Ideally, they’d like to get married in Essex,but they both love Spain, and getting married in the sun would be perfect. Either way, it’s going to be the party to end all parties.”
We wouldn’t expect anything less. And, as our pictures show, the pair looked as if they were having a trial run at the launch of pal Elliott Wright’s bar in Marbella. Both dressed in white, they let their hair down as they danced, laughed and kissed all night, with onlookers saying, “It looked like their wedding rather than a party!”
Gemma, 37, has made no secret of the fact that she wants to settle down with Arg, 30, and start a family. “It’s something we really want in the future,” she has said. “We’ve seen some beautiful places we’d like to get married at in Spain and Essex, but we’re trying not to get ahead of ourselves. I really want kids, so I don’t think we’ll wait too long before trying for a family.”
The pair have been inseparable since making things official, and Gemma insists she’s never been happier. “To hear that he was ready to commit was a dream come true after so many years of not knowing where we both stood,” she explained.
“James is like a different man since we made things official. I can tell he’s completely committed to me now. Every morning, he puts on a love song for me and, before we go to bed, he cuddles me and tells me how beautiful I am.
“I feel so secure with him.”
