Why Ariana got engaged after 1 month
She’s found her “perfect fit” apparently
We know celebs don’t do things at a normal pace when it comes to romance, but Ariana Grande really isn’t hanging about. She only confirmed her split from her boyfriend of two years, musician Mac Miller, last month – but she is now engaged to new man Pete Davidson.
Ariana, 24, recently made their relationship Instagram official, but it seems love waits for no one as Pete proposed in early June, a couple of weeks after getting together. The pair initially met in 2016 on US sketch show Saturday Night
Live where Pete is a cast member, and we’re told the couple are very much in love. “They are a perfect fit. They are not rushing to get married,” an insider says. “Their friends are all really excited and supportive, and they’re looking forward to a very long engagement together.”
Pete, 24, has already shown his love for his new fiancée on social media, constantly posting images of the petite singer – and even getting her initials tattooed on his finger. The comedian has openly spoken about his struggles with mental ill health and addiction to marijuana. After suffering a mental breakdown, Pete quit smoking weed, but was later diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), a form of depression. He was put on medication for his condition and said, “It is working, slowly but surely. This whole year has been a f**king nightmare… the worst year of my life.”
Pete recently confronted online trolls who suggested that he couldn’t be in a happy relationship because of his BPD. “It’s f**ked up to stigmatise people as crazy and say that they are unable to do stuff that anyone can do,” he wrote. “Mental illness is not a joke, it’s a real thing. For all those struggling, I want you to know that I love you and I understand you and it is going to be OK.”
