If you can’t find a good guy, train up a bad one
They say you learn from your mistakes – so Tristan Thompson must be a master of fidelity. At least, that’s what Khloé Kardashian hopes. The star, who welcomed their daughter True in April amid revelations that her baby daddy had repeatedly cheated on her throughout her pregnancy, is doing everything she can to make the best of a bad situation – and that means putting Tristan, 27, through a serious course of self-improvement. First thing’s first: turn the dad of two (he has 18-monthold Prince from a previous relationship) into a model father.
“Khloé’s really using Tristan’s cheating as a life lesson,” a source close to the 33-year-old reality star tells heat. “One thing she has insisted he do is really be there for Prince. She’s surprisingly selfless when it comes to him spending time with Prince, as she hopes that getting him to be a better dad will only benefit his and True’s relationship and make him more of a family man. Tristan’s already responding well to Khloé’s guidance and is spending more time with his son. There could be a silver lining to this mess.”
Last week, the new mum made headlines after she finally spoke out about the cheating scandal that overshadowed the final stages of her pregnancy. Khloé had remained silent on her decision to stay with her unfaithful beau in Cleveland, Ohio, where he plays for the Cavaliers basketball team. But it seems the famously outspoken star couldn’t bite her tongue any longer after she was seen looking miserable during a “tense” dinner with Tristan, and a fan lashed out at her on Twitter, writing, “I’m so disappointed [Khloé] stayed with that waste-man Tristan. She preaches about women knowing their self-worth and when to walk away, but when it’s time to walk the walk, she’s a hypocrite.” Khloé hit back, “Not exactly. You have no knowledge of what goes on in our household or the enormous rebuilding this takes to even co-exist. I’m proud of my strength.”
Let’s hope that involves him doing some serious atoning – breakfast in bed for the next 50 years, at least.
