But is Younes planning to be the next Lord Disick?
Kourtney and Younes Bendjima make a pretty picture. That, we know. Throw in some jaw-dropping Italian scenery and you’ve practically got a Renaissance painting.
The couple went on an epic Instagram photo shoot – or holiday, to us normals – in Italy last week, spending time in Rome before jetting off to the island of Capri. Looking more loved-up than ever, the pair were pictured lounging on a luxury yacht, swimming in caves and hanging out on the beach. How exhausting.
But while everything seems picture perfect, insiders tell us that things aren’t completely rosy for the beautiful people.
“Although he loves spending time with Kourt, Younes feels like he is living in her shadow and wants to use his newfound celebrity to boost his career,” a source tells heat. “Younes was modelling before he met Kourtney, and being her boyfriend has definitely boosted his profile. He’s had a lot of offers rolling in because of that, and he wants to capitalise on and make his dream of becoming a male supermodel a reality.”
And now friends are worried Kourtney – who started dating Younes not long after she split from Scott Disick, the father of her three children – could be repeating past mistakes. “This situation is raising some red flags for Kourtney – it ’s exactly what happened with Scott,” the insider adds. “He became obsessed with being famous and, in the end, he got a bit too big for his boots. Kourtney wants to be the one calling the shots in this relationship, and that’s partly why she likes what she has with Younes. He’s devoted to her – but now that seems to be changing.”
At 25, Younes is 14 years Kourtney’s junior, and is clearly keen to capitalise on his girlfriend’s huge fan following. “He wants them to be a power couple like Kim and Kanye, but Kourtney would prefer that she’s the only mega-famous person in the relationship.
“She’s giving Younes plenty of exposure and believes that should be all he needs.”
