Lisa Armstrong is taking time out to heal, La-style
Ant’s ex enjoys a bit of R&R
Abit of sunshine lifts everyone’s spirits, and that’s clearly just what Lisa Armstrong needs right now. The 41 year old has been hanging out in Los Angeles in an effort to heal her broken heart. And while she looked a little bit on the sad and lonely side as she sunbathed alone on the beach, she also made sure to get out and about with friends and make the most of the mountains and beautiful scenery.
After splitting from husband Ant Mcpartlin in January this year, Lisa recently received another blow with the news that Ant was dating his PA – and her friend – Anne-marie Corbett. But Lisa seems to be enjoying some time for herself, after jetting off on holiday to LA and spending time with friends.
Most recently, the Strictly make-up artist was pictured hanging out with former bandmate Craig Young. Lisa and Craig made up half of ’90s pop group Deuce. Craig shared a picture online of the two of them after they’d gone hiking in Runyon Canyon with the caption, “A morning hike is good for the soul. Clears the mind and makes you feel grateful for the world around you!”
People were clearly happy to see Lisa out and about in the sunshine, and many of their followers commented on how great the pair looked. “Loving that you two are ‘on the loose’ in the Hollywood hills,” wrote one, with another commenting, “So good to see you and Lisa together, glad you’re looking after her.” The pair also took a more radical approach to chillaxing when they visited a firing range to learn the “basics of gun control”, before watching Belinda Carlisle perform with her band The Go-go’s at The Hollywood Bowl.
Lisa – who sometimes makes her feelings known through liking posters’ tweets – recently showed her appreciation for a fan’s emotional tweet that read, “Just read something about replacing ‘I’m sorry’ with ‘thank you’. So, instead of saying ‘sorry I was late’, say ‘thank you for waiting for me’. Replacing negativity with positivity and gratitude breaks the ‘I’m sorry’ cycle.”
And it seems Lisa is keen to follow that mantra by leaving the negativity behind and focussing on having a bloody good holiday in sunny Los Angeles.
