Watch out, Laura – Jack’s mate says he’s a babe magnet

His mate says Laura’s headed for heartache…– agaiin Reunited at last – this pair are too cute

ot since Ross and Rachel disputed their “break” has a love issue been so hotly debated. Yes, #Kissgate has rocked the villa, with islanders at each other’s throats over whether Georgia “I’m loyal, me” Steel really did launch herself at an unwitting Jack Fowler, or if it was, in fact, a mutual smooch. Well, we’ve scrutinised the footage 22 times, and we agree wholeheartedly that Jack’s telling the truth to his lady-love Laura Anderson: he went for the cheek, but got a full-on lip smacker instead.

All this has got us oh-so intrigued by Jack, the personal trainer and semi-pro footballer from London who, until last week, hadn’t made much of an impression. But is he good enough for our Laura? We spoke to a close friend of his – and while we’re told he’s a genuine guy (one might even say “loyal”), we’re sad to report that there’s likely more heartbreak ahead for our favourite Scottish islander. “It really surprised me when they got together,” his mate, who met Jack, 22, while working at a sports centre, tells heat. “She’s not really his type. He normally goes for short girls who can make him laugh, but Laura’s very intense and jealous. That will scare him off. He likes to be chasing the girl.

“Plus, she’s looking for a husband. He wants kids and a family eventually, but there’s no way he’s going to come out and

‘He cares, but he’s not into her as much as she’s into him’

say, ‘I’m ready to settle down’. I think it was genuine at the start, he does care about her, but I don’t think he’s into her as much as she’s into him.”

Apparently, another roadblock to 29-year-old Laura’s happy ending is Jack’s mega-popularity, which was at an all-time high even before he went on TV. According to his friend, “Jack’s very popular with girls. In a club, he’s always surrounded. There’s no way it will last with Laura on the outside. He gets so much attention already, but when he comes out, it will be horrendous. But we’ll try to keep him well-behaved.”

As for #Kissgate, nobody likes being called a liar, especially when they’re telling the truth. And Jack is no different. “Jack is such a nice guy,” his friend explains. “He’s that guy who always makes sure his friends get home OK. He doesn’t lie. If you call him a liar, it winds him up – he’s far from it.”

Basically, Laura, there’s good news and bad news: on the plus side, your beau is telling the truth. Unfortunately, you’re still getting dumped.

There’s no denying that Samira Mighty had a tricky time in the villa. Initially – and inexplicably – overlooked by fella after fella, she finally got some lovin’ with Frankie Foster, 22. But then that was cruelly snatched from her when the public vote sent her beau packing.

So, when Samira, 22, quit the show last week, vowing to follow her heart and reunite with Frankie, we were gutted – but we were also buzzing that she was out to reclaim her dream ending. And she seemed to get just that when Frankie turned up to surprise her at Gatwick Airport, and she leapt into his arms. Now, the West End performer, who we spoke to shortly after she quit the show, says she’s very excited to take their relationship further. “I do see a future with Frankie,” she tells us. “I’ve never met anyone like him. He is gorgeous and we had a genuine connection. He kept me on my toes, so I’m excited to see how it goes. I’m a bit nervous, too, but it feels positive. I’m very proud of myself.”

Meanwhile, the show’s producers have come under fire for not giving the pair’s romance much air-time, especially as their night in the hideaway had never been screened. All we can hope is that now they’re back in each other’s arms, they’ll share every millisecond on Instagram. It’s what the public want, after all.
