Posh tells David to get on with the babymaking
Posh is keen on another addition to Brand Beckham
After having four children, you’d be forgiven for thinking Victoria Beckham had done her bit for the global population. But it seems the lure of being pregnant, going through labour, and sleepless nights is too big for her – and heat has been told she is begging husband David for one last baby.
“Victoria is desperate for another child,” we’re told. “She thinks it will bring them all closer together as a family. The next 12 months are going to be some of the hardest they’ve ever been through, as David is going to be in the US for most of the next year and Vic’s got to concentrate on making her fashion brand as successful as possible. But she also knows that, as she gets older, they’ll need to make a decision on it soon. She’s loved these last few weeks with everyone back together for family holidays, and it’s got her nostalgic about having another little one running around.”
We’re also told the 44 year old feels this could be the perfect time for another addition, as her four other children – Brooklyn, 19, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 13, and sevenyear-old
‘It could bring the family closer than they’ve ever been’
Harper – are at the age where she can cope with another baby.
“In the last year, Victoria has found her attitude to having another child thawing, as things are easier with Harper,” our insider says. “She’s not getting up at 5am any more, and Harper is
also a little more independent and doesn’t take as much energy to look after. It’s made Vic realise how lovely it would be to have another girl around, especially for Harper. It’s been a difficult year and Vic wants something to take her mind off the stress, and adding to the family would be the perfect way to do it.”
There’s another reason why a new baby is an attractive idea to Vic. “It would hopefully mean David would feel the need to be at home a bit more,” the insider adds. “While Vic understands he needs to be away for his work, she’s worried about how much of his time this Miami football project will take up over the next 18 months. She knows how much the kids love being around him, and if she was pregnant, it could bring the family closer than they’ve ever been.”
As heat has reported, the couple are set to spend a lot of the next year apart due to David launching his own football team in Miami, while Victoria and the children will be based in London. But we’re told they have been discussing a baby for a while, especially after the arrival their niece Peggy – daughter of David’s sister Joanne –last December. The insider adds, “Vic never thought that she would seriously be considering having a fifth child, but then again, she never thought a lot of things would happen, like David moving to Miami. There’s been so much change and uncertainty going on, that getting pregnant again would be a welcome bit of stability. She likes the idea of taking the power back in her family life and being a new mum again. Having a family is the best thing that’s ever happened to them and both she and David would be thrilled if another baby came along.” n Kate Randall
