Lauren can’t stop plumping herself up
She’s still favouring the trout pout
She likes to portray herself as the British version of a Kardashian, but it seems they didn’t think to tell Lauren that OTT lip fillers are out (see right). Last week, the former TOWIE star proudly showed off her pumped-up pout after visiting a surgeon in Harley Street, but unfortunately, it didn’t get the reaction she wanted.
“Lauren has been getting some really abusive and mean-spirited comments about her appearance on Instagram and it’s really upset her. She’s usually really strong and is good at ignoring all the haters, but every now and then, she’ll let her guard down,” our insider says. “Lauren’s obviously been messing with her looks a bit and it shows. She had been in denial about how extreme it looked until she read what people had been saying about her. Commenters said she looked like a ‘freak’, ‘a wax figure’ and a ‘lifeless mannequin’, which made her feel mortified. She’s been asking her friends, ‘Is that really what I look like? Is that what people really think of me?’”
The insider adds that those close to 31-year-old Lauren have told her she may be taking it too far. “Her friends have been trying to tell her for ages now that she needs to relax when it comes to having work done on her face. She doesn’t look natural any more – a lot of the pictures she puts up on Instagram just don’t look like her – it’s like she’s completely lost touch with reality. They’re worried she’s messed with her face too much now to go back to some level of normality.” ■ KATE RANDALL
