Jack and Dani are out of the villa – and life’s getting intense

The Love Island winners have an intense first week

- Katie Holloway

The post-holiday blues are definitely a thing for Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer. After walking away from Love Island hand in hand – and £50k richer – the couple left their cosy bubble to arrive back in the UK and were overwhelmed with attention. While the islanders were obviously hoping for a warm welcome home, it is clear they were shocked by the number of fans who turned up to meet them as they arrived at London’s Stansted Airport.

Jack, 26, and Dani, 22, then travelled to meet Jack’s friends and family in Kent, stopping off to grab some snacks at a south-east London Co-op, where they were followed around the store by paps. The pens salesman was thrilled to introduce his new girlfriend to friends and snapped a few pictures of the occasion. But if Jack thinks he’ll finally be an active member of the Do Bits Society now they’re out, he may be disappointed as they’re set to move in with Dani’s parents while they look for their own place – with Jack being made to sleep on an airbed.

The couple have barely been back a week, but have already discussed marriage plans, with Jack claiming, “We’re getting married next year, 100 per cent. Like my mum said to me so many times, ‘When you know about someone, you just know.’ And now I know what she’s talking about. I just know that’s what we want to do.”

However, Dani’s father Danny Dyer has warned the young couple of the perils of rushing their relationship. “As much as I love Dani, and of course I’m overjoyed we had her [when he was 19], I would advise her to have children later on in life,” he said. “You should live your life first. There are benefits to having kids early, but you lose a lot of your own childhood and self-discovery. Sex goes out the window a little bit and you have to start earning properly, no f**king about any more.”

We bet they’re already yearning for life back inside the villa, when the most stressful thing they encountered was getting a text.
