Get your hands on Coleen Rooney’s WAG wardrobe

“All the charity shops around their house will be getting a huge haul,” says an insider close to the 32-year-old WAG, who’s currently preparing to move her four boys Stateside to join husband Wayne in Washington DC. “She’s dumping half her wardrobe, so there will literally be around £100k-worth of fashion up for grabs, including shoes, bags, redcarpet dresses and bikinis. She’s using it as the chance for a big clear out, which she’s not done in years. She knows she probably won’t wear of lot of her clothes again, so there’s no point in hauling them across the Atlantic. Besides, she always said she was saving her best stuff in case she had a daughter, but she’s now ruled out having any more kids, so she doesn’t want to hang on to it.”

While Wayne, 32, made the move to the US in June, where he kicked off his two-and-a-half year stint playing for DC United, Coleen and their sons, Kai, eight, Klay, five, Kit, two, and fivemonth-old Cass, are expected to be joining him later this month. It’s been reported they’ll be living the life of luxury in a £4.2m mansion in the Kalorama district, which counts the Obamas and Ivanka Trump among its elite residents.

“Coleen’s always been a bit of a shopaholic and she doesn’t travel light wherever she goes, so she’ll probably need a shipping container just for all the clothes and bags she will be sending over,” our source adds. “But as well as donating loads, she’ll be putting the rest in storage. She knows she can be too sentimental when it comes to hoarding stuff, so she’s hired a wardrobe consultant to come and help.”

While it may be difficult parting with her many designer togs, we’re sure the shorter wait at baggage reclaim will ease the blow slightly for poor Coleen. Besides, this gives her the perfect opportunity to head straight to the shops as soon as the plane lands. Worth it. n Charlotte oliver
