Broody Meghan moves her mum to Kensington

Pack your bags, Doria – London’s calling told a reporter, “They have Meghan treating her father in a way that Harry’s mother, Princess Diana, would have loathed.” He also revealed his daughter had stopped speaking to him, adding, “I don’t care if

She’s been embracing her new royal duties over the past three months, embarking on a non-stop tour of public engagements. But despite her enthusiasm for her new life, Meghan Markle’s desperate to get one much-missed piece of home onto British soil. Nope, we’re not talking Lucky Charms, but her dear mum, Doria Ragland.

“Meghan is arranging for Doria to move from LA to England,” a source close to Kensington Palace tells heat. “After everything that’s gone down with her dad, she really needs to have the one person she trusts most in this world with her. Plus, she really wants her mum around when she and Harry have their first baby.”

Thomas Markle’s fall from favour with his daughter in the last year has been shocking to watch, as he’s persistently embarrassed Meghan with money-making PR stunts, outspoken interviews and vicious critiques of the royal family. In his latest gaffe, the 74 year old Harry never speaks to me again. I’ll survive.” Meanwhile, Meg’s half-sister Samantha Markle hasn’t stopped sounding off in the press, recently complaining, “You don’t just throw a family away like a pair of shoes.”

Unfortunately for Thomas, Samantha and co, they don’t seem to know when to pipe down, and, as a result, it appears that Meg’s distanced herself from them for good. Now, as the Duchess’ family shrinks, she’s willing to pull out all the stops to convince Doria, 61, to make a permanent move to the UK, so that she can be here for when Meg expands her new family with Harry. Meghan, 37, is Doria’s only child, so there’s no way that she would want to be 5,000 miles away for the birth of her first grandchild, and we’re told she wants to be involved in helping Meghan’s transition to motherhood. It’s also important to her that her future grandchild has an appreciation of their roots. However, we’re told there are a few ground rules.

“Doria doesn’t get a lot of the pomp and circumstance her daughter needs to go through every day, so she told Meghan that if she did move to the UK, she’d want to establish her own life,” our insider says, adding

that social worker and yoga teacher Doria is as passionate about humanitarian issues as her daughter. “Meghan has promised Doria anything she wants, including helping her to set up a charity. Doria’s mulling it over, but the one thing she insists on is maintaining her home in California, so she can escape if and when life in London gets too suffocating.”

Although Doria hasn’t been back to Britain since attending Meg and Prince Harry’s wedding in May, there’s surely no greater draw than the pitter-patter of potential grandchildren.
