Victoria Beckham has weathered many storms in her life, but this one might just be her biggest yet. After her latest shoot for UK Vogue – in which she posed with all her children on the front cover, and spoke about her marriage in strangely business-like terms – the fallout has been quite spectacular. Not only were fans quick to notice the clinical language, it was reported that David was not happy. And now, because of work commitments, the couple are being forced to take some time apart from each other.

“The Vogue interview sent both Victoria and David into meltdown, with both blaming the other for the PR disaster,” our source says. “As far as David is concerned, it’s Vic’s fault. The interview was originally supposed to be about her and her ten years in the fashion business. But due to the shoot and interview happening back when the divorce rumours surfaced, Vic then pitched the idea to Vogue of talking about her perfect family and doing a big ‘setting the record straight’ interview.

“She’d been dying to do something family focused for ages – where she could show off her children to the world – and all she’s ever wanted was to be able to say Harper was on a Vogue cover. She’s obsessed with Harper’s future brand. David was adamant he was not doing it, but the kids wanted him to. He refused to do anything but the bare minimum, and it shows. People were saying he was in a foul mood.”
