Could the pitter-patter of tiny feet be on the way for Ryan Thomas and Lucy Meck?
The CBB winner and his girlfriend are ready for a family
After a turbulent time on Celebrity Big Brother, Ryan Thomas was crowned the winner last week. To celebrate, he’s hoping to have a baby with partner Lucy Mecklenburgh – and, we’re told, he’s also planning to propose to his girlfriend of over a year.
“Ryan and Lucy have had their ups and downs. But the way she supported him while he was in the house has shown Ryan how much she loves him, and he thinks the time is right for him to propose,” an insider tells heat.
“Lucy had been dropping hints before he went in, and he thinks she deserves a big white wedding. He wants them to settle down and start a family of their own. They’ll probably have a baby before they get married – they’re keen to start trying straight away.
“She’s great with his daughter Scarlett [from his relationship with former Corrie co-star Tina O’brien], and can’t wait for them to have a baby together.”
While Ryan, 34, was on CBB, EX-TOWIE star Lucy continued to bond with Scarlett, nine. Ryan’s daughter even surprised Lucy on her 27th birthday by gifting her a Rolex watch from Ryan.
The actor had feared his career was in tatters after Roxanne Pallett, 35, accused him of being a “woman beater”, and demanded he was removed from the house following a harmless play fight. But since winning, he’s said the actress has “suffered enough” and he’s focusing all his energy on his future with Lucy. Just hours after his triumph, he said, “Lucy is someone I want in my life for a very long time. Marriage and babies... taking it one day at a time.” The couple met on Bear Grylls:
Celebrity Island last year, though Ryan later confessed he’d fancied her for three years. They shocked friends in June when they briefly split, amid claims that Lucy suspected him of “having a wandering eye”. However, the stories were unfounded and they kissed and made up. Now, they are ready to take that next step.
