Lee puts the moves on Nadiya
They’re looking increasingly close
Every year, the new batch of incoming contestants laugh about the Strictly curse – and every year it happens anyway. Speculation exploded last week as pictures emerged of Lee Ryan with his arms wrapped around his stunning dance partner Nadiya Bychkova, despite both of them having real-life partners. And days later, they were snapped looking super-cosy again, giggling as they walked down the street with their heads almost touching.
While it’s believed they’re just good friends, sources last week claimed the “besotted” pair had set “a new record” for how close they’d become behind the scenes. Lee has also posed for cosy selfies with Nadiya, commenting that their first week had been “amazing”. The singer, who is dad to Bluebell, 11, and Rayn, nine, has had a tempestuous relationship with on/off girlfriend Samantha Miller for ten years. In August, the TV star insisted they’d split, saying, “I’m single… Everyone’s talking about the Strictly curse, but I don’t see how it’s a curse. The girls look amazing.” Since then, though, it looks like he’s reunited with his ex, as he took to Insta last week to post a pic with Samantha, holding hands.
Meanwhile, Nadiya, 29, who joined the BBC show last year, posted her own loved-up photo. Hugging her boyfriend – and father of her young daughter – Slovenian footballer Matija Skarabot, 30, she announced they were having the “perfect Sunday”. Which is all well and good, but they don’t call it a curse for nothing. We’ll be watching, Lee and Nadiya.
