Steph Pratt: ‘I’ve only met Speidi’s son four times’ S

The reality TV star talks sibling squabbles as she heads for the hills

he famously swapped LA for London, rocking Made In Chelsea and dating a who’s who of Britain’s reality gents (including Joey Essex, Spencer Matthews and Jonny Mitchell.) But Steph Pratt’s uprooted herself yet again, because – praise be – she’s heading back to The Hills. Yes, the show that first made her famous – and spawned a generation of scripted reality shows – is relaunching after eight years off-air. When we catch up with the 32 year old, she’s already started filming and tells us it’ll be just as drama-filled as ever – especially when it comes to her forever-strained relationship with her brother Spencer, his wife Heidi, and their one-year-old son Gunnar – who Steph has barely seen since he was born…

Do you prefer filming in Chelsea or LA?

I can’t answer, because I’m a London citizen through and through. When I’m back in LA, I get lost. I’m the fish out of water, which is really weird because I’m from Malibu. The others destroy me about my accent.

Are you ready to date American guys again?

I haven’t dated an American for years. But I’ve met every boyfriend on TV. It’s become the only way I actually meet guys because when I go out to a bar or a club, no one talks to me. Men are spoilt, because girls always go up to them.

So many of your friends and exes are settling down – do you want the same?

God, no – it’s not for me yet! When we were filming, there were babies crying everywhere. I was like, “Peace, I’m out.”

How are things between you and Speidi now?

I never know what’s going on with them, so to be filming and having them back in my life is really weird. Their house is five minutes from mine, and I’ve only seen [nephew] Gunnar four times – once at theirs, at Christmas, at filming and at the VMAS.

Do you hope they’ll make more of an effort now you’re back in LA?

You know what? I’ve become so much stronger, especially in the past year. I refuse to have Spencer control me or belittle me. I’m so proud of my accomplishments, and it’s given me more self-esteem. It’s definitely a new side to me. Stephanie Pratt for Goddiva French Kiss A/W18 launches 1 October on Goddiva.co.uk
