We’ve always known Robbie Williams was an attention seeker. Here’s proof, if proof were needed

They’ve got three little kids… and one big one

It’s safe to say that Robbie Williams and Ayda Field are having a busy year. Not only are they currently gracing our tellies as The X Factor ’s first married judges, they also just welcomed their third child, Colette (aka Coco), via surrogate earlier this month. But the couple are barely breaking a sweat, with Robbie revealing last week that, “Coco is the most chilled baby I’ve ever known.” Which must be a relief for Ayda, considering her husband is a notorious attentionseeker. Luckily for him, she’s happy to lavish him with praise.

“Robbie constantly needs reassurance and to feel like he’s the star in the relationship, and that’s what Ayda gives him,” says heat ’s insider. “She tells him she loves him at least five times a day, and his ego and confidence is boosted. But she’s also the one in control of the relationship. She often jokes that he’s another child, who’s harder to control than the kids.”

Robbie, 44, and Ayda, 39, have been together since 2006, and married in 2010. Their daughter Teddy was born in September 2012, followed by son Charlie in October 2014. Earlier this month, Coco joined the fold, and – according to Robbie – the family are more laid-back than ever. He revealed last week, “I wonder if the baby is so relaxed, because we’re relaxed.”

The couple are being paid a rumoured £10m to take part in The X Factor, despite questions about actress Ayda’s music experience, and the former Take That star knows he couldn’t have done it without her. “Robbie will always need a strong support network around him,” our insider adds. “He would only do the show with Ayda, that was one of his conditions. He knows she’ll always have his back and tell him he’s still a huge star. He needs her and he loves the attention.”

Thank God little Coco’s so undemanding. ■ CHARLOTTE OLIVER
