North nails her catwalk debut
Has Kim got a mini diva on her hands?
It must be pretty difficult to compete for “biggest ego” in the Kardashian-west household, but five-year-old North gave it a pretty good go last week. Making her modelling debut (yes, really) for a L.O.L. Surprise Doll fashion show, North sassed her way down the catwalk. For those of us uninitiated in the L.O.L. Surprise Doll world, they are collectable toys that make kids under ten go wild. And dressing up as the doll “Thrilla” definitely seemed to bring out North’s inner Mariah Carey.
“North is shaping up to be a very big diva,” an insider tells heat. “She’s already showing that she’s got what it takes to become a world-class supermodel – and with the feisty attitude to match.”
Kim – who is also mum to two-year-old Saint and eightmonth-old Chicago – has clearly been giving North posing tips as she is already being praised for her catwalk skills. We’re told, “When it came to walking the runway, North was a total natural. She stunned the front row, but what they didn’t see was that, moments before she was due to go out, she had a bit of a strop about her outfit and had to be taken for a time-out by her mum. It was fairly typical behaviour for a five year old, but it looks like Kim has created an adorable little fashion monster who’s going to be a formidable force in the industry before she reaches her teens.”
In fact, it seems supermodel aunt Kendall needs to watch her back, because North – who starred in a Fendi commercial with Kim and Kris this summer – is already hot on her Christian Louboutins. Our source says, “Since the show, Kim has been inundated with offers from agencies who are desperate to sign North, with some valuing her earning potential as high as $20million for her first 12 months. She’s well on her way to landing her own solo campaign when the time is right.
“Kim’s thrilled that North has discovered her passion for fashion early, although, of course, she’s worried about her growing up too fast. But Kris pretty much let Kim run free in her teens, and she thinks North should be able to express herself, even if it means her becoming a diva.” ■ CHARLOTTE OLIVER
