Chloe: ‘People think I can’t get a date’
The TOWIE star’s not prepared to settle
She hasn’t had the best of luck in love, but Chloe Sims is not a sorry case. When we catch up with the TOWIE star ahead of her star turn on Celebs Go Dating, she tells us that she’s never been short of offers. But the 36 year old isn’t prepared to settle for just anybody, especially as she has daughter Maddie, 13, to consider.
Do the guys you date have preconceptions about you?
Yeah, I think, in general, the public has the wrong impression. They think, “Oh, she’s in her thirties, why can’t she get a man?” They think I really can’t get a date!
Are you quite fussy?
I’m not fussy, but I’m not going to settle. I’ve watched people settling over the years, but I’m not in that category of a 30-something woman who’s panicking because she doesn’t have children. I’ve got my child and a career, so I’m busy. The most important thing is the connection. I’ve had that in the past – there’s no way to describe it, it’s just a feeling between you, isn’t it?
Will you be as high maintenance as Gemma Collins was on the show?
I lead quite a simple life at home with Maddie. I do the school run every day and I’m a normal mum. But yeah, I’d expect to go out for a nice meal on a date and be wined and dined – I wouldn’t know any different to that. What are the other options, Netflix and chill? That’s not for me at all.
