Jen-an is pissed off with Justin’s “fake” heartbreak tales
Her ex-husband has given an emotional interview
Nobody wants to be painted as the bad guy in a break-up, but way more than that, no one wants their ex to be seen as the good guy. Now, Jennifer Aniston is said to be raging over a revealing new interview her estranged husband Justin Theroux has given, where he said their split was, er, “gentle” but “heartbreaking”. Now, friends say Jen is sick of him playing Mr Nice Guy, while disrespecting her and running around with other women.
“Jen’s really pissed off that Justin is trying to make things look amicable when they’re not,” says an insider close to the actress, who officially split from Justin, 47, in February, after two-and-a-half years of marriage. “Jen feels as though she’s been used by Justin. What’s worse is that he’s now trying to convince the public he’s this sensitive, nice person. She’s warned him that they are far from being friends, and she can’t believe he has the audacity to make it out like he’s the good guy in all this.”
In the New York Times interview – headlined “Justin Theroux Is On The Prowl” – the actor insisted, “It was kind of the most gentle separation, in that there was no animosity.” He added, “Neither one of us is looking to throw hatchets at each other. It’s amicable. It’s boring, but, you know, we respected each other enough that it was as painless as it could be.” But the feature also described him as “out on the town with his boys” – which “happens a lot these days” – while he joked about sex toys, and refused to answer whether he’s seeing anyone new.
We’re told it’s this behaviour – along with the women Justin has been linked to in recent months – that has pushed Jen, 49, over the edge. “She feels humiliated by the way he’s acting,” says our insider. “Especially seeing Justin get so cosy with [Maniac co-star] Emma Stone so soon after they’d split. It made her blood boil and she realised just how insensitive he could be. They haven’t even sorted out their divorce and he’s already seemingly moving on with all these younger women.” In the interview, Justin also claimed he and Jen are still friends, adding that it is “something that we’re both very proud of.”
Maybe he has a different definition of “friend” to the rest of the world?
