Kourtney and Scott reunite
As heartbroken Sofia stays home in Malibu
Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick were never exactly an epic love affair, but after pictures of the pair and their three children together in New York emerged last week, fan speculation went crazy at the prospect of a reconciliation.
Scott and Kourtney, 39, were together from 2006 to 2014, and the pair have been growing closer since Kourtney ended her 22-month relationship with model Younes Bendjima in August. And while Scott, 35, has been dating 20-year-old Sofia Richie since September 2017, sources tell us that the model is starting to worry about Scott spending time with his ex.
“Kourtney and Scott getting cosy again has made Sofia insecure as hell,” says heat’s source. “She doesn’t understand the dynamic he has with Kourtney and it’s making her more and more uncomfortable. She feels out of her depth, because Kourt is older and more experienced when it comes to men. When Kourt was with Younes, Sofia worried less. But now she’s single again, Sofia’s paying a lot more attention.”
And no wonder she’s feeling insecure – in a recent episode of
KUWTK, Kim revealed that Scott had told her he wanted another baby. So, naturally, Kim decided the best thing would be for Scott and Kourtney – who are already parents to Mason, eight, Penelope, six, and Reign, three – to have the child together. “I mean, Scott has a girlfriend, Kourtney has a boyfriend [at the time she was dating Younes] – we get it. But if they both want to have more kids, like why not have them together?” Kim declared.
“Sofia wants to believe Scott when he says he’d never get back together with Kourt, but she’s not entirely convinced,” our insider says. “Kourtney knows how to reel Scott in – and she can always use the kids as a reason to see him. This is Sofia’s first grown-up relationship, and she’s struggling to keep up with all the emotional highs and lows. When Scott’s with her and it’s just the two of them, she is happy. But usually there’s a call or a text from Kourt to invade their bubble, and the disruption hurts and confuses her. It bothers her, seeing Scott so friendly with his ex.”
While Scott was playing dad in New York City last week, Sofia spent her time posing in a swimsuit in Malibu, although our source tells us Sofia would rather have been joining in on the fun in NYC. We’re told, “Sofia hates that she’s left out of family get-togethers and she’s desperate to be included. She wants to feel accepted into Scott and Kourt’s inner circle – but she’s convinced Kourt doesn’t want her there.”
