t’s only been a few months since Dani Dyer left Love Island, but she’s been grafting ever since – and not just with boyfriend Jack Fincham. Dani, 22, is thrilled to have her own In The Style fashion collection , though she does cringe at the memory of wearing a yellow Juicy Couture tracksuit in her youth when we meet her to chat fashion, family and, er, fish tanks.
was it important to you for the collection to be size 4-24?
So important. I didn’t want it to be exclusive – I want to walk down the street and see all different girls wearing it. Not everyone is the same, and I wanted to make sure my range is for anyone. Are you quite body confident? Every girl has days where they don’t feel good in themselves, but I think I’m body confident in the way that, “You are what you are”. You’ve just got to embrace that. As long as you’re happy on the inside, it’ll show on the outside.
what does Jack like to see you dressed in?
I think every boy likes their girl dressed up – they give you that little flirty look, don’t they? But he knows that I love being comfy as well. I mean, he has to deal with what he has to deal with at the end of the day. If I don’t want to wear make-up, tough!
how has it been filming your reality show?
It’s going really well. It is difficult, I’m not going to lie – especially when you’re tired – but it is really exciting. My family are involved, but there was a massive thing that my dad got the show with us. No. He doesn’t want the Kardashian lifestyle. We won’t be like that. We don’t live that glam life!
Jack has installed a fish tank in your flat…
I wasn’t really excited about the whole idea of fish tanks. I thought we were getting a bowl, but it’s a big tank. But he’ll be cleaning that fish tank. If I’m doing the washing and ironing, he’s putting his hand in that water.
has Jack fitted in with your family?
Jack gets on with everyone. He told my mum he’s named a fish after her. What a lovely compliment. She rang me and was like, “I don’t want a fish to be named after me!” He loves my family and they love him – they really believe in him and I love that. My nan adores him.
