Chole & Sam: ‘We want to retire at 28’

We’re more used to hearing them discuss mortal nights out, rather than mortgage rates. But Chloe Ferry and Sam Gowland have only one thing on their minds when heat speaks to them ahead of Geordie Shore’s return – and that’s their growing empire. Yes, the 23-year-old mini-moguls have big plans for their future: a massive property portfolio, a leisurely life of early retirement, and the pitter patter of tiny feet. All this before they’re 28, apparently. Which makes us feel very good about our singledom and flat-share…
Do you guys behave differently off-screen?
Chloe: I’ve grown up since being with Sam. I like being in the house. Hoovering is my favourite thing to do.
Sam: At the end of the day, when we’re on the telly, we’re doing a job, out getting pissed. But we’re very business minded. Our house is immaculate. We’ve bought our second one and will hopefully get a third by Christmas. So you’re making sensible investments? S: Yeah, we’re different. Some people get their money, go to the gym. I want to be retired by the time I’m 28.
C: GS isn’t going to last forever. I don’t want to go out and get mortal with all my money. We want to live abroad. I know how it feels to have no money and I never want to go back to that position.
S: I’ve always been motivated, but I’ve never had the money to do it. Now I’ve got the opportunity on TV, I’m going to make the most of it. What else is on your to-do list? C: Now that I have a puppy, I love being a mum. I’ve decided I’m coming off contraception soon. I’m definitely thinking about marriage – I just don’t understand why he hasn’t asked us yet.
S: She’s waiting. It’ll be coming soon, don’t you worry. Chloe – are you planning to have more surgery, or are you done?
C: I don’t want more – and If I did, I wouldn’t be f**king telling anyone. The biggest mistake I’ve ever made is going public about it, because I had the worst backlash. You’d think people would be happy with us for being honest – there are so many people in the public eye who’ve had surgery.
