Robbie Williams, Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Demi Moore – Princess Eugenie’s wedding was the most celeb bash ever

It was more a case of who wasn’t invited to Princess Eugenie’s nuptials

-

OK, she was never going to match Meghan and Harry’s world-stopping wedding frenzy but, fair play to Princess Eugenie, she gave it an excellent go. The ninth in line to the throne married Jack Brooksbank, 30, last week at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, and just about anybody who is anybody was there.

While the 28 year old has made a fair few fashion clangers in her time, she nailed it when it mattered in a backless, fairy-tale dress, wearing an emerald-jewelled tiara to boot. But, as is tradition at these aristo-dos, there’s always an adorable bridesmaid or pageboy to pull focus and, this time around, that honour fell to Theodora “Teddy” Williams. Yes, the six-year-old daughter of Robbie and Ayda Williams (and Robbie’s mini-me) did the unthinkable and outshone fellow bridesmaid Princess Charlotte in her public debut after years being shielded from the spotlight.

Thanks to Eugenie’s wellconnected and fame-loving mother, Sarah Ferguson (as well as Jack’s job as a manager for George Clooney’s tequila brand Casamigos), the celebrity guest count was unusually high. However, two notable absentees were David and Victoria Beckham. The couple had been to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s big day, as well as Prince William and Kate Middleton’s, so it was a surprise not to see them there, especially as they were rumoured to be on the guest list. Maybe Posh couldn’t decide what to wear?

While the bridal party fought the elements to make it into the chapel in one piece, with howling winds sending hats and petticoats flying, things were far calmer indoors. Fergie practically skipped down the aisle alongside Maid of Honour Princess Beatrice, soon followed by Harry and Meghan, and William and Kate. Then, the star of EVERY show, Queen Elizabeth II, rocked up. And we were sold. ■
