The Dani and Jack drama continues – are we heading for another Love Island split?

More trouble after his hotel cocaine ‘binge’

-

Love Island fans might be in for more heartache soon after rumours swirled last week that Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer had split. Pictures of Dani’s mum packing things into a car and driving away from the couple’s London pad sparked speculation the pair had broken up following shocking revelations that Jack had “binged” on cocaine.

Jack recently admitted that, after a boozy night out with friends, the group went back to a hotel where he snorted cocaine. The 27 year old blames his new-found fame for being unable to resist taking the class-a drug, claiming that he is, “regularly offered illegal substances while drunk on free booze”.

“I’m in a new world of partying and stuff, and being in circles that I would never normally have been in,” Jack explained. “I’d never normally be in these situations but, yes, since winning [Love Island], I have been offered cocaine a lot. But I went out all night, I was drinking and I just got carried away and made a stupid, stupid mistake, which I wish I’d never done, you know. I regret it.”

On the night in question, Jack was seen partying with Love Islanders Sam Bird and Adam Collard, plus Diversity dancer Sam Craske and Instagram model Brittany Archer. There’s no suggestion any of them were involved in offering or taking cocaine. Jack, who was a stationery salesman before Love Island, insists, “In the past, I would never have found myself in a club where everyone wants to be your friend, but, obviously, they’re not really your friends at all. Before, I couldn’t really afford to go out and drink all night, with how expensive it is. But, all of a sudden, I’m being offered free drinks, getting more drunk than I ever would have been before, and I’ve gone along with it.” The night has also caused problems for Adam and girlfriend Zara Mcdermott, as they are now said to be on the rocks because he got too close to Brittany.

But Jack was keen to state that he regretted his actions. He said, “That night, it was a complete error in judgment. It’s a silly thing to do, it’s not something I’ve made a habit

‘it’s a silly thing to do. i mean, what an idiot’

of. I mean, what an idiot.”

His reality star girlfriend, 22-year-old Dani, was said to be “unimpressed” at the news of her boyfriend’s drug binge, but Jack claims she will always support him. However, he added that her dad, actor Danny Dyer, was likely to take a “dim view”.

After images of Dani seemingly moving out emerged last week, fans were reminded of the couple’s previous “break-up”, which occurred in December. Dani posted to her Instagram to announce the couple had split up, only to retract it the following day. The couple then reunited and were back to their showbiz best presenting at the National Television Awards. However, they have not been seen in public together since the event last month.

As the news of Jack emerged, Dani was in Africa for the Comic Relief Mount Kilimanjaro climb, but tweeted in reference to the pictures of her mum leaving her flat. She said, “Sick of having to comment about my life! And people judging me and judging MY family! Nobody knows any facts or truth about me. Sick of people judging my relationship that they know nothing about! I don’t deserve any of this.”

Following Dani’s return to London, Jack posted a snap of the two of them together, but she then cast doubt on their future by telling a fan on Twitter that their days as a realityshow duo were over.

She wrote, “We won’t ever be doing another show again.” ■ KATIE HOLLOWAY
