Ant’s in the dog house with Lisa again – this time literally

Ant’s ex is furious at his happy families front

In the history of celebrity divorces, we don’t think a chocolate Labrador has ever caused so much heartache. But when Ant Mcpartlin stepped out last week with two new Maltipoo puppies, we’re told Lisa Armstrong’s first thought was for their beloved Lab Hurley.

“The issue of them sharing their dog has been one of the most hurtful parts of their divorce, never mind his money,” says our source. “For Ant to make a statement like this – getting a set of designer pups with his new girlfriend – is really hurtful for Lisa. She feels as though she’s been stabbed in the back again.”

The former couple – whose divorce was granted in October – got Hurley around five years ago, and it is believed they are still working out the custody of their much-loved pet. “Even though they’ve been fighting over Hurley, a part of Lisa was happy for Ant to still see him, as it meant there was a connection between them,” we’re told. “And she would have never dreamt of saying to Ant that he couldn’t see him. But now she fears Hurley is going to suffer the same fate as she did, and be replaced. She really hopes that Ant doesn’t turn his back on Hurley. What’s worse is that Lisa feels this is only just the beginning, and that next it will be pictures of them pushing their children around a park after they get married and have babies.”

Ant, 43, was seen out on a dog walk in London last week with girlfriend Anne-marie Corbett, 42, and their two new Maltipoo puppies, Bumble and Milo, who are thought to have cost £1,000 each. Our source tells us that the constant show of happy families from Ant is starting to wear unbearably thin on Lisa, 42. “Ant is eager to push his new lifestyle with Anne-marie to show he’s back on his feet again,” our insider says. “That’s great for his image, but it’s tearing Lisa apart. She doesn’t understand why Ant and Anne-marie can’t just keep a low profile – the ink is barely dry on their divorce papers and Ant just can’t stop showing off.” n
