Anna Paquin is back with cut-throat drama Flack

T his UKTV original gifts Anna Paquin (True Blood) a really fun role. She is Robyn Flack, an American PR executive who lives in London, describes her natural talents as “lying and drinking”, and specialises in clearing up the huge messes made by her clients. So, basically, she’s like Harvey Keitel in
Pulp Fiction, but hopefully with far fewer corpses. There is a dark side to her character, though, because she and her sister Ruth (House Of
Lies’ Genevieve Angelson) are still processing their mum’s Brooklyn Bridge suicide. In this opening episode, Robyn dashes to a fancy hotel to nursemaid a prominent footballer who’s been on a huge sex and drugs bender, then fends off one-night-stand stories circulating about a celebrity chef client (Max Beesley). Sophie Okonedo and Marc Warren ably round out the cast. HHHH Jason Arnopp
