Love is most definitely in the air this February for Hollywood sweetheart Jennifer Lawrence, after it was revealed last week that the actress is engaged to boyfriend Cooke Maroney. Her team confirmed the news after the couple were seen dining together in New York and Jennifer, 28, was spotted wearing a ring on a particular finger.
J-law and Cooke went public with their romance last May, after being introduced by Jennifer’s close friend Laura Simpson. Cooke, 33, is a New York City-based art gallerist who seems worlds away from Jen’s previous A-list boyfriends. Most recently, Jennifer was dating director Darren Aronofsky – who was 22 years her senior – but the pair split in November 2017 after a year together. Before that, Jennifer had an on/off relationship with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and back in 2010, she was with X-men co-star Nicholas Hoult. They briefly split in 2013, but dated for five years overall.
Jennifer had previously joked about her high-profile relationships and her requirements for future boyfriends, saying, “I’m just a girl who wants you to be nice to me. I am straight as an arrow. I feel like I need to meet a guy, with all due respect, who has been living in Baghdad for five years, who has no idea who I am.” But she also admitted that she was keen to settle down. “I feel like if I find that one person who I want to spend the rest of my life with, who I want to be the father of my children, that I would absolutely not f**k it up.”
