Style Ed Laura on why the quirky brand has got you covered
Lazy Oaf may not be a name you’re familiar with, so if you haven’t heard of them before, let me introduce you to this kitsch, cool brand. From slogan tees, denim and swimwear, to knitwear, accessories and shoes, they have loads of fun fashion on offer. Lazy Oaf have a whole host of celeb fans, including musicians Anne-marie and Lil Wayne (yes, really), actresses Maisie Williams, Brie Larson and Millie Bobby Brown, plus – closer to home – comedians Noel Fielding and Sara Pascoe. And what’s more, the brand has just extended their womenswear range from size 6-20, the first of which was their Valentine’s Collection, which went on sale in January. The spring 2019 collection “Household Names” launched last week, and featured different-size models on the website (Lazyoaf.com), as they look to further increase inclusivity and representation – something that is refreshing to see.
There are also special projects and collabs on the horizon for 2019, including a collection for Mental Health Awareness Week in May, with charitable organisation Time To Change. On top of that, there are also whisperings of an exciting hook-up with a footwear brand, and a cartoon collection . Watch this space…
