sharing is caring
Most resorts have accommodation to suit everyone, but many skiers opt to book a room in a large chalet where you’ll share communal areas and, if it’s catered, you’ll dine with your fellow guests. Meals consist of breakfast, afternoon tea and an evening meal (children are often served earlier).
access all (ski) areas
“Ski in and ski out” means you’ll be able to access the slopes direct from your accommodation, otherwise you may need to take a shuttle bus.
hitching a lift
Don’t forget to budget for a lift pass. Prices vary hugely from resort to resort, but you can often get a discount on lift passes and ski hire when you book your accommodation.
