Coleen’s summer without wayne
She’s planning many, many fun trips
As every Brit knows, we get a very small window when it comes to summer – which means every moment of good weather must be taken advantage of. It’s advice Coleen Rooney has taken to heart, as she flies back to the UK for two months of fun with family and friends. And, in her case, this apparently means leaving husband Wayne behind.
“Coleen is absolutely determined to have the best summer ever,” says an insider close to the 33 year old, who moved to Washington DC last year, so Wayne, also 33, could join the football team there. “She can’t wait to get home to the UK to catch up with old friends, see her parents, and oversee the final stages of building work at their house in Cheshire. She’s been in countdown mode for weeks, shopping for outfits and dieting, so she can just enjoy herself while
she’s over here. She wants to cram in as much as possible over the next eight weeks and really let her hair down.”
Friends say Coleen – mum to Kai, nine, Klay, five, Kit, three, and 17-month-old Cass – will also be enjoying holidays within her holiday, with multiple trips around Europe planned. “She’s already got an Ibiza weekend booked with friends,” says the source. “They’re hiring a yacht and are excited for wild nights out. Then there’s also two weeks in Portugal with the rest of her family. The boys are signed up to summer camps, too, so she’s looking forward to lots of beach time and sangria.”
As heat has previously told you, Coleen hasn’t had the best time living in America. She’s been homesick, lonely and – worst of all – has had to deal with an endless parade of negative headlines about Wayne’s drunken arrests and nights out with other women. “She badly needs this time away from him,” says the insider. “She’s had a tough year and can’t wait to get home. But she’s warned Wayne he’d better behave while she’s away. No drinking, no partying – nothing that will land him in trouble or embarrass her again. If he ruins her trip, then she will seriously consider whether to come back at all. She’s given so much to Wayne and the boys this year, and now she’s taking some time for herself. She deserves it.” n
