They’ve only been married six months, but already the same old problems are rearing their heads for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. Friends say the newlyweds are arguing after the singer’s X-rated performance at Glastonbury upset the actor.
“Liam has always been uneasy with Miley’s performances,” says an insider close to the pair, who married on Christmas Eve, after ten years of on/off-ing. “He thought she would tone things down once they got married. But, if anything, Miley wants to push things even further. It’s causing a lot of tension as he begs her to calm down, and friends are worried for them.”
The raunchy performance saw Miley,
26, grinding onstage, flashing her boobs, licking cameras and grabbing her crotch. Speculation also raged after Miley shouted, “F**king sick of men” as she began singing her mega hit Wrecking Ball – a song reportedly about Liam, 29. The former Hannah Montana star later said it was “politically directed”, but not everyone was convinced. The pair – who split in 2013 for two-and-ahalf years – have had a rocky relationship since meeting on the set of The Last Song in 2009, and, as heat’s reported, Miley’s wilder side has often caused problems. We’re told, “When Miley is in ‘pop-star’ mode, she loves pushing boundaries and loses all inhibitions on stage. She’s not worrying what her husband thinks. She won’t stop, and her act is only going to get wilder. Liam needs to accept her for who she is – or this could be it for them.”
