‘she hates him giving zero commitment’
It’s not that we never believed Katie Price and Kris Boyson would be together forever, but let’s just say we hadn’t dusted off our wedding hats just yet. And now a source close to the couple tells us they’re ready to go their separate ways – but only when it suits them best.
We’re told, “Kris is sick of Katie talking about other guys, and she hates him having no money and giving zero commitment. They’ve agreed that the relationship should be just for the cameras now. They’ll hold on until the time is right to split publicly, and they can get a TV special and lots of photo opportunities out of it.” Well, we can’t say The Pricey isn’t a canny businesswoman.
Katie, 41, and Kris, 30, have been together – on and off – for a year,
and the mum of five has even discussed getting married and having babies with the personal trainer. But our insider tells us things have been bad between the pair for a long time.
“Kris attempts to control most parts of Katie’s life, but isn’t willing to even talk about making a commitment to her,” we’re told. “He is very business-focussed and wants to turn everything Katie does into a money-making scheme, which he’ll obviously benefit from. She’s sick of him trying to take charge of things.”
The couple had registered a clothing company under the name P&B Boutique, but it was voluntarily struck off the Companies House register last week. Of course, Kris has other ways of cashing-in – last week, he was “papped” in a pair of very revealing white shorts while standing casually by the side of the road. And according to our insider, Kris is all about the money.
“He always wants to oversee Katie’s contracts before she signs them, and he’s always on at her to ask for more money,” says the source. “He’s the one setting up most of their pap photos, and asking Katie to split the money 50/50. Katie hates it – she’s been skint and feels all Kris cares about is fame and getting a slice of the cash. She only ever saw him as a ‘stop-gap boyfriend’, and now she’s on a real mission to find another guy.”
The insider continues, “As soon as she finds someone else, Kris will be publicly dumped. In private, they barely see each other, anyway, as Kris prefers to stay at his place or go out with his mates. He’s never showed much inclination to be a stepdad to the kids – he’s just a big kid himself.”
Whoever Katie picks as her next lucky man will have to get involved in the family business, flogging her stuff. Katie recently shared a video of her 12-year-old daughter Princess advertising her latest paperback, with a very sassy pout and kiss. The post received hundreds of comments, summed up in one: “Am I the only one who finds this absolutely disturbing? It’s wrong on so many levels.” n
