‘She figures it will bring in millions of dollars’
There’s a reason Kylie Jenner is the youngest “self-made” billionaire in the world – she knows when to take advantage of a money-making opportunity. And the latest one will have her fans going absolutely wild.
“Kylie has been trying out all sorts of promotional tricks to keep up her position as the queen of cosmetics for teen and twentysomething s, and now she thinks she’s stumbled upon her next genius marketing plan,” an insider tells us. The plan, you ask? To audition for a new best friend – via social media, of course, because how else do Generation Z get things done these days?
The 21 year old used to be inseparable from BFF Jordyn Woods – who even lived with Kylie – but ever since Jordyn was accused of cheating with Khloé Kardashian’s boyfriend Tristan Thompson, Kylie has been without a number-one gal.
On a recent episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Khloé asked her little sister if she missed her BFF. Kylie responded, “I think
that this whole Jordyn situation needed to happen for a reason. She was my security blanket, she lived with me, and we did everything together. I felt like, ‘I have Jordyn, I don’t need anything else.’ I think there was a part of me that needed to grow without her.”
Kylie – who’s mum to one-yearold Stormi with boyfriend Travis Scott – has temporarily replaced Jordyn with model and influencer Anastasia Karanikolaou. The pair took copious amounts of photos together on a recent trip to promote Kylie’s latest range Kylie Skin. However, she’s still hoping to cash-in with a social media contest to find her next “best friend”.
“Using Snapchat and Instagram, the contest will, of course, involve Kylie Cosmetics, and the entrants will have to show themselves wearing the products while doing something fun or funny,” we’re told. And if your hilarious video makes it to the top ten, you’re guaranteed a prize that money can’t buy. “The top ten finalists will get to hang out with Kylie for a day, doing Kylie things, like pretending to eat cereal for the first time, going on a boat cruise in Miami, playing with her dogs and cooing over photos of Stormi,” our source says.
We can’t imagine anything more exciting than eating cereal with Kylie. But true fans may be disappointed to learn that she doesn’t plan on moving the winner into her house. The source adds, “Of course, Kylie doesn’t intend on ever becoming good friends with the winner, she just figures the chance to spend time with her will bring in millions of dollars of purchases for Kylie Cosmetics.” ■
