SAM FAIERS IS LOVING HERSELF

The mum of four looks unreal on holiday

- Elizabeth Ryan

We know what you’re thinking and, yes, we can confirm Abbey Clancy i s an alien. It’s the only explanation for how phenomenal the WAG looked last week on holiday in Portugal, just six weeks after giving birth to her fourth child. But the 33 year old – who blew fans away as she wandered around in a skin-tight white swimsuit – insists her body bounceback has a more human explanation: it’s all down to her mum.

The model – who is mum to onemonth-old Jack, as well as Sophia, seven, Liberty, four, and 19-monthold Johnny – was pictured living her best life on the holiday, chatting to friends and hanging out with her husband of eight years, former footballer Peter Crouch, 38. Fans

were quick to comment on her body transformation, calling her “stunning” and “spectacular”. One declared, “My god she looks incredible! I can only dream of a body like that”, while another wrote, “She looks absolutely fantastic”. Although a few others were shocked by the choice of white, with one commenting, “Bizarre. You bleed for weeks after having a baby and there she is in a white bikini!” Another new mum added, “Yes, even after a C-section – the thought of a white swimsuit terrifies me!”

Colour choice aside, it’s not unusual for Liverpudlian Abbey to snap back after giving birth. After having Liberty, the 5ft 9in star admitted, “I did go back to normal quite quickly. But it definitely took longer with the second one… My mum had four children and each time she had a baby, she was back to normal

within weeks. So genetics play a strong part.” She insisted that pregnancy has changed her body, though, revealing, “‘I’m 9st now. Your shape just changes. My boobs went. My belly button’s a bit saggier. But I’ve got beautiful babies, so I’m not that concerned.” In separate interviews, she also confessed, “I’m like every other woman and get insecure about my body from time to time – it’s only natural. Modelling swimwear and lingerie means that I’m on show in front of a lot of people, a lot of the time.”

She’s also slammed criticism of her weight loss, saying, “I don’t like [it] when it’s put in a negative light, like I’m starving myself. I live with a professional athlete. We eat healthy meals with home-cooked, fresh food.” In fact, Abbey has said, “I don’t diet,” but she is very sporty, enjoying horse riding and Pilates. She’s said, “I’m lucky that I’ve got a really active lifestyle. I admit that, genetically, I am very fortunate – all of my family are tall and lean – but my body really enjoys a good workout.”

Good news: our non-abbey shape is yet another thing we get to blame our mum for. n
