They’re filming Gavin And Stacey
Barry in South Wales has had an unexpected influx of visitors this summer, thanks to the cast of Gavin And Stacey descending on the town to film the hugely anticipated Christmas Special.
After announcing the cast would be reuniting ten years after the final episode of the original series, fans have been desperate to hear any news about the show, and last week, we were treated to an abundance of pictures and videos. James Corden, Ruth Jones, Mathew Horne, Joanna Page and Rob Brydon have all been spotted in the Welsh seaside town, filming for the one-off special.
James and Mathew – who famously fell out not long after Gavin And Stacey went off-air in 2009 – were even spotted on a night out in Cardiff together. The 40 year olds seem to be the best of friends again, after being seen pouring each other shots and dancing to Whitney Houston in Cardiff’s Tiger Tiger.

Stacey’s mum, Gwen – also joined the boys on the wild night out. Mathew was seen enjoying a separate night out in Burger King last week, as he indulged in some heavy petting with a mystery woman while waiting for his food. The actor was previously engaged to Casualty actress Evelyn Hoskins, but a spokesman confirmed they split in October 2018. The lady waiting for her Whopper with Mat appeared to be wearing an engagement ring, leading fans to speculate she is the new IRL Stacey to Mat’s Gavin. Lush. ■
