Kris signs contract for Kardashians: The Next Generation
For most of us, $50million would be an incomprehensible, life-changing sum of money. For the Kardashians, it’s… well, yeah, it’s still a lot of money. The reality family have just signed a new TV deal worth just that, and it’s set to keep them on our screens for years to come. But the new contract doesn’t just lock in the souls of Kim, Kourtney, Khloé and Kylie – it also includes their children.
“Kris has just signed a massive $50m contract with E!, and it includes an option for a Next Generation special, featuring all her grandchildren,” says an insider close to the 63-yearold momager, who has overseen Keeping Up With The Kardashians since 2007. “Their parents love the idea of a guaranteed income for the tots and, of course, the kids will get to decide if they want their own
spin-off show – although it’s debatable whether they can fully understand what it means.” The famous family have ten young kids between them. Kourtney, 39, is mum to Mason, nine, Penelope, six, and fouryear-old Reign, with ex Scott Disick. Kim, 38, and husband Kanye West are parents to North, six, Saint, three, Chicago, one, and baby Psalm, two months. Khloé, 34, has one-year-old True, with her ex, Tristan Thompson, while Kylie, 21, has Stormi, 17 months, with rapper Travis Scott. Their brother Rob has a daughter called Dream, two, from his relationship with Blac Chyna. In fact, supermodel Kendall is the only one of the siblings not to have procreated.
And the reality stars have never been shy of showing off their kids, regularly sharing photos of them on social media and making media appearances with them in tow. Six of the little ones also appeared on Ellen Degeneres’ chat show in May, where they seemed relaxed and at ease in front of the camera. On top of that, North has already been modelling for a while, and made her runway debut last year. Even just two weeks ago, Kim admitted her children stage photo shoots together, saying, “Saint said he’s gonna pretend to sleep with his brother. He always wants a pic to capture every moment.” The source continues, “All four of the sisters have signed this contract on behalf of their children, with no objections from the fathers. In fact, North and Penelope want their own show right now!
“These kids have grown up on TV and they think it’s very normal to have cameras document their every move. When the camera crew are not around, North actually asks if they’re being punished!” ■
