‘She really wants to rub this relationship in her exes’ faces’
The doors on the Love Island villa may have closed until next year, but the doors to Caroline Flack’s heart are well and truly open. It was recently revealed that the 39 year old was dating ex-professional tennis player and model Lewis Burton. Now, an insider close to the presenter tells heat that she’s convinced he is The One. And not only that, she is going to show all her exes what they’re missing.
“Caroline has already been telling her friends that Lewis is husband material, and that this relationship is going to be her revenge on her exes, particularly Danny Cipriani and Andrew Brady,” we’re told. “She wants something more significant than just another fling. She feels as though everything’s about to change with Lewis. She’s told friends that he could be the perfect guy for her and has even called him ‘The One’.”
The pair were pictured kissing in Ibiza last week and people were quick to comment that Caz looked “a bit clingy” and that, “the way she’s hanging off him makes her look desperate”. Last year, Caroline was engaged (on and off) to Apprentice star Andrew Brady. In recent months, she has been linked to rugby player Danny Cipriani, 31, and her personal trainer Bradley Simmonds, 24, although neither relationship seemed to last long – which we’re told is a point of contention for Caroline. “She really wants to rub her new relationship in the faces of her exes like Danny, because she was extremely hurt when he abruptly ended their relationship when things cooled off. She also wants to show Bradley that he’s missed out on a good thing by letting her slip through his fingers. She’s got a fantastic career and she’s never felt fitter in terms of her health, and she wants someone who will champion her.”
Caroline’s career – and wealth – is seriously on the rise after ITV announced last week that 2020 would see two series of Love Island for the first time. And as the show’s host, Caroline has reportedly signed a contract for £1.2m a year, essentially tripling her previous salary. Our insider adds, “Some of Caroline’s friends are concerned – sometimes she can come across as too trusting with the men in her life, and too eager to just dive into relationships head first. No one’s saying Lewis bad news – he seems like a great guy. They just want her to go slowly.” ■
