Emily’s Greek vacay was a boozy affair
There is nothing like letting your hair down on a girlie holiday to recharge those joy batteries and make you feel amazing. And there is no one feeling more amazing right now than Emily Atack. The actress took to social media last week to share glimpses of her “wonderful” trip to Mykonos with friends, as insiders say the star is feeling happier with her life than ever before.
“Emily’s never been this happy – and it shows,” says an insider close to the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! 2018 runner-up. “She can’t believe how much her life has changed in the past year. It’s been so wonderful, but she also needed a bit of time out to relax and unwind with her closest friends. The girlie break in Mykonos was everything she hoped it would be.”
The TV actress shared several sun-filled, tanned shots on Instagram last week. Revealing
she was off on holiday with pals – including sister Martha – Emily wrote, “Time for the annual bonanza.” She later shared more pics, showing her in a swimsuit, enjoying the villa and its pool. Beside a shot of herself at dinner, clutching a cocktail, the 29 year old also wrote, “Wonderful few days drinking strawberry daiquiris and howling with the girls. Utterly joyous. Home tomorrow!” In another post she added, “My god, we have laughed and laughed on this holiday and my heart, my belly (and my liver) is full.”

co-star John Barrowman commented to tell his jungle friend she was looking “gorgeous”. Her new-found confidence follows a recent interview in heat, where she admitted to gaining a stone since the ITV jungle show – but added that she’s learned to deal with her body insecurities. She said, “When I am having an off day, I can just have a word with myself and say, ‘Everybody is so wonderful to you, everyone is supporting you, just get your head out of your arse and stop worrying about having a slightly fatter bum than you did a few months ago’.” Our insider adds, “Emily always used to be really hung up about her body. But that has mostly disappeared these days and she feels so confident. She’s relaxed with her diet, and having good food and wine on holiday was her priority.” The star – who shot to fame playing teenager Charlotte “Big Jugs” Hinchcliffe on The Inbetweeners – showed off her new, relaxed attitude by telling followers last week, “Lunch by the pool and rosé diet will do for me.”
Insiders say the 29 year old’s happiness is also – in part – down to her lovely new man. The star has been dating producer Rob Jowers since meeting him at Jack Whitehall’s BRITS after-party in February. She told heat earlier this month that they’ve spent “every day together since”. Our source adds, “Having such a supportive boyfriend has really helped, and Emily knows Rob loves her no matter what. Life is very good for her right now.” n
