Michelle and Mark have one last Ibiza blow-out before baby-making
Because Ibiza isn’t so appealing with a screaming newborn ‘it has to happen in the next few years, i’m 32 now’
It had been five months since Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan were last seen together in public. During that time, Michelle was in South Africa filming her third series of Our Girl, while her husband was back in Blighty working on projects such as Bachelor UK. But, with Michelle’s work commitments abroad finally over, the pair celebrated by jetting off to Ibiza for a group holiday last week – with insiders saying it was their last big party blow-out
before starting a family.
“This is the first time in months that they’ve had some time away together and they’ve both been letting their hair down,” says a source. “They’ve had two years of full-on work, now they just want some fun and relaxation on their own and with their families.
“A few massive nights out and yacht cruises with their friends, mixed in with intimate meals as a couple, has been perfect for getting their marriage back on track – and now Mark is desperate to try for a baby.”
Mark, 32, recently returned to the UK for good after spending over a year in LA and, speaking about babies, he admitted that the time could be right after Michelle, also 32, wrapped filming of Our Girl – which is now. He said, “America was something I had to do, while we were both still young – I couldn’t have done it if we had kids. Michelle’s got another series of Our Girl, so maybe [we will start a family] next year. Don’t take that as gospel, but it has to happen eventually – I’m 32 now and she’s coming up to 32, so it will have to happen within the next few years.” He added, “I’m getting to the point where I just want to settle at home and have a job that brings me home [to a family] every day.”
With Mark’s mum Carol also saying as far back as 2016 that she was hoping to be a grandmother “soon”, our source adds that Michelle has often felt “under enormous pressure from the Wright family to get pregnant”, but she’s always had other work commitments.
Now she has a clearer schedule,
as our source explains, “Tony Grounds, the director of Our Girl, has said Michelle could come back for the series after next, so the door will always be open to return if she has a baby. So, she’s now feeling that this could be the right time. Mark and Michelle have both said they’ll cut down on the booze and take all the right nutrients to make it happen – that Ibiza trip looks like it’s their last wild holiday for a while!” n
