Tina’s fury over ex Ryan’s baby announcement
Lucy Meck is pregnant – but someone isn’t happy
When Ryan Thomas and Lucy Mecklenburgh announced they were having a baby by putting up a video of his daughter Scarlett finding out the happy news, many fans commented on how cute and sweet it was. However, it seems Scarlett’s mum (and Ryan’s ex) Tina O’brien didn’t seem to share those sentiments.
Soon after the video was uploaded, Tina – who is married to personal trainer Adam Crofts, with whom she shares son Beau – posted a cryptic message saying, “Don’t always trust what you see on social media. Even salt looks like sugar.” And while she didn’t
say who she was targeting , many were quick to speculate the post was about Ryan and Lucy, and it was soon taken down. In the video Scarlett, ten, was surrounded by family members filming her on their phones as she read a balloon spelling out the news. She looked overwhelmed, before bursting into tears and giving Lucy a hug, saying they were happy tears.
And we’re told that while Tina is happy Ryan and Lucy are having a baby together, she was a little upset to find Scarlett splashed across social media. “Tina has a very good relationship with Ryan and Lucy and knows they’ll make great parents,” our source says. “But she did feel a little uneasy with Scarlett being told the news like that – being filmed by everyone, and then put up on Instagram. But there are no hard feelings, and she is excited for Scarlett to be a big sister again, as she’s great with Beau.”
Lucy, 28, and Ryan, 35, have been dating for two years, and got engaged a few months ago. The couple still don’t live with each other, as Ryan is based in Manchester and Lucy is in Essex – and Lucy recently revealed that this will still be the case when they get married next year. Although she might change her mind once the baby arrives and wants help with all those night feeds... n
