Couple stand defiant against criticism
Plenty of us have enjoyed a little rebound fling following a break-up, but there’s nothing little or fling-like about Miley Cyrus’s new relationship. The singer has gone public – very public – with her new girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter, holding hands at last week’s MTV VMAS and Miley introducing Kait to her family. But they’re not stopping there. Insiders tell heat the loved-up pair have already moved in together, and are even talking marriage.
“They’re deadly serious about this,” says an insider close to Miley, 26, and reality star Kaitlynn, 30, who both split from their respective husbands – Liam Hemsworth and Brody Jenner – earlier this month. “Miley’s telling everyone she’s never known a love connection like this before, and for the first time in her life she truly believes she could actually be a proper wife. She married Liam because it was what he wanted, and their families expected it of her – but what she has with Kaitlynn is different. Miley finally truly understands how it feels to want to commit to someone for the rest of her life. They’ve already told Miley’s parents and want to do it as soon as humanly possible. They’re saying that if anyone stands in their way, they’ll elope.”
As heat told you two weeks ago, Miley was seen holidaying in Italy with Kaitlynn, as she announced the end of her marriage to actor Liam, 29, provoking accusations of insensitivity. Since then, the new couple have repeatedly been
seen out together. They enjoyed a long lunch in LA with Miley’s mum Tish, with sources confirming the pair are living together at the superstar’s mansion.
Last week they attended the VMAS in New York together, with Kaitlynn watching the former Disney star’s performance from backstage. The pair left hand-in-hand, heading to a nearby nightclub to continue partying. Miley also took the opportunity to debut a new tattoo hinting at long-term struggles within her marriage. It read, “My head was feeling scared, but my heart was feeling free,” lyrics from the Pixies’ song The Thing.
heat’s source continues, “Miley and Kaitlynn will both always care for their ex-husbands, but they’re not going to let it stop them moving on. A lot of friends are rolling their eyes at the marriage idea, but everyone learned a long time ago that you can’t tell Miley anything she doesn’t want to hear. They’re talking plans for the big day, which will probably be on a private island. They’re in this perfect little bubble right now, and no one can reach them.” n
