TERRIFIED HARRY’S STALKER HELL
The singer testified in court
Harry Styles revealed details of his ordeal with a stalker in court last week, before the 26-year-old homeless man was found guilty. Appearing in court, 25-year-old Harry said he had first spoken to Pablo Tarazaga-orero when he discovered him sleeping rough at a bus stop near Harry’s north London home earlier this year. “I pulled up in my car and offered him some money, so he could get a hotel or some food. He told me that he couldn’t accept the money for religious reasons. He said he was vegan,” Harry revealed.
After returning the next day, having bought vegan food for him, Harry admitted he found his behaviour strange. “He asked me if I wanted to go to a restaurant and eat with him. I told him I was on my way to work, so I couldn’t. I found it a little odd.”
From then on, Harry became aware that the man was following him. Tarazaga-orero visited the A-lister’s local pub on numerous occasions, turning up “a minute or two minutes” after Harry arrived, as well as posting £49.95 in cash through the former boyband member’s front door. Weeks later, he posted a note through the door with his bank details on, requesting the money back from Harry.
In his court appearance, Harry revealed he was deeply uncomfortable with the man’s persistent contact, revealing, “I saw him incredibly often. Almost every day. I could feel him watching me. It made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. Up until that point, I had never felt unsafe or uneasy at my own house. I’d never encountered this kind of behaviour before.”
The defendant argued in court that Harry had “tried to buy him” at their first meeting. He claimed, “He took out a bunch of notes, a ball of notes. He said, ‘Let’s go to a hotel, let’s have some fun.’”
However, the judge ruled he was neither a credible nor reliable witness and that Harry was simply “trying to help another for whom he felt sorry”. The defendant was found guilty of stalking and is awaiting sentencing.
Harry says he has since employed a night guard and locks his bedroom at night. He told the court, “I would like to feel safe again.” n
