Liam Hemsworth’s moved on from Miley Cyrus, but apparently she’s the only person allowed to do that
She wasn’t expecting him to move on so quickly
Miley Cyrus seems to be entirely carefree at the moment, snogging her BF in cafés over acai bowls and seemingly reverting to her old Miley ways. But after her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, 29, was pictured out with his new girlfriend Maddison Brown, we’re told Miley was “beside herself with tears and rage”.
After announcing her split from Liam in August, Miley, 26, flitted quickly to Kaitlynn Carter for a brief fling, but is now officially dating 22-year-old Cody Simpson, who she has known for years. But it seems Miley didn’t expect Liam to move on so quickly, too. “Everyone was braced for Miley to react badly when Liam eventually found someone else, but the fact he chose to kiss Maddison so publicly really rubbed salt in the wounds for her,” an insider tells heat. “It was ironic for her to get a taste of her own medicine, but at the same time, she wasn’t expecting to feel so affected by the reality that he’s moved on.”
Miley and Liam had been together on and off since 2009. They married in December 2018, but confirmed they had split in August – hours after Miley was papped kissing Kaitlynn. Liam went public with his new relationship just a couple of weeks ago with a very passionate PDA on the streets of New York. And we’re told Miley has not taken it well. “Her friends are telling her to chill and enjoy her new romance with Cody, but she’s constantly Googling what Liam’s up to and can’t get her mind off him, however hard she tries. She was drunk-dialling him until these new photos came out, but now she’s resorted to social media to get his attention. This relationship with Cody, the supposed hospital visit for tonsillitis and constant ‘look at me’ behaviour all seem to be designed to push Liam’s buttons. And, to be fair, it’s always worked in the past, because he’s a good guy who loves her. But, at the moment, he’s just rolling his eyes.”
It seems we might be in store for a PDA war between the exes if Miley’s recent oversharing is anything to go by. n
