Jeff opens up on his marriage struggles
The couple have differing views on children
While most celebrity couples prefer to keep schtum when they’re going through a bad patch, Jeff Brazier seems to be happy to invite us all into his marriage crisis. The 40 year old has spoken out about the difficulties he’s going through with wife of just one year, Kate Dwyer.
Last week Jeff explained, “I had thought when we got married that we’d go straight in [on starting a family], but there seems to have been a change of heart about that, and a need for a little more time before those decisions are made.”
As heat previously reported, Jeff had taken off his wedding ring and unfollowed his wife on Instagram, which led many fans to believe the pair had split. A spokesperson for the couple categorically denied a split – and Jeff has now popped his ring back on and re-clicked the ‘follow’ button – but the couple’s management did admit they were working through difficulties in their relationship.
Kate, 30, is now stepmum to Jeff’s two boys from his relationship with Jade Goody – Bobby, 16, and Freddy, 15 – but, it seems, the idea of having their own children is causing problems in the couple’s relationship. “Being married makes you feel more settled, but life doesn’t feel much different, because Kate has a wonderful career in PR where she works very hard and long hours,” Jeff revealed. “So, it’s still just me and the boys at home a fair bit. I’m not sure whether we’ll have children. I’m just as happy if we do or don’t, and I’m content to be patient and let Kate figure all that out.” n
