Lisa’s paw-fect dig at Ant
She’s feeling fur-rocious
Beauty icons come in many forms these days. No longer do we subscribe to one form of attractiveness – it is well and truly in the eyes of the beholder. So, it should come as no surprise that one the latest icons on the scene is, in fact, a chocolate Labrador. One very much-loved Labrador who goes by the name of Hurley.
It was reported last week that Lisa Armstrong – ex-wife of Ant Mcpartlin – is hoping to release a new cosmetics collection and is planning to call it “Lisa Loves Hurley”. Hurley is the five-yearold pooch who’s at the centre of a vicious custody battle between the former couple, who currently look after him on alternate weeks. And, this may be the latest not-sosubtle dig from 43-year-old Lisa.
A source said, “It’s a way for her to say, ‘F**k you’ to Ant, and a declaration of how much she loves Hurley. He’s been there by her side through all the mess Ant created. She has always been upset that Ant couldn’t just let her have custody of Hurley, who she sees as her baby. She knows that Ant loves Hurley as well, but she really hoped he would be the bigger man and let her at least keep him after all she’s been through.”
After moving on from Lisa with their former PA Annemarie Corbett, Ant, also 43, has welcomed two Maltipoo puppies into his life. But it seems he’s still reluctant to allow Lisa to have sole custody of Hurley.
Last week, Lisa won an award for her make-up design work on Strictly Come Dancing, so at least we know the Lisa Loves Hurley range would be quality stuff. We can’t wait to try the rumoured shiny brown eyeshadow that represents Hurley’s dreamy eyes. ■
