Joy to the world

Unless you live in Walford, Weatherfield, Emerdale or Hollyoaks...

-

For most of us, Chrimbo is a time of peace, love, stuffing your face with food and spending quality time with family – but not if you live in Soapland. If you live there, chances are you’ll be weeping into your chocolate log around 3pm on Christmas Day after a huge bust-up, a big break-up, or even some botched Botox. Here are all the exciting storylines you’ve got to look forward to this Yuletide…

’ENDERS

Earmuffs at the ready, because in a classic ’Enders episode, Kat is set to find out that Alfie is Hayley’s baby daddy on Christmas Day. Kat’s dream of having the perfect faaaamily Christmas is ruined when the truth comes out and has consequences that no one could predict. Also, Keanu’s in for a shock when Louise thinks the present meant for Sharon is hers and kisses him. And even more shockingly, he kisses her back!

CORRIE

Be prepared to scream at your TV as Gina allows Tim to believe they slept together, and Tim breaks the news to Sally on Christmas Day.

Talk about kicking a woman when she’s down. Also, Gail thinks Lewis is cheating on poor Audrey, so goes all out to get evidence. Lovesick Aud refuses to listen, but when she discovers that Archie’s money has been stolen, she has little choice.

EMMERDALE

Everyone loves a festive wedding, but a surprise one? When Marlon and Sam’s boozy night goes awry, Marlon’s forced to reveal to Sam that they need to get back because Sam’s marrying Lydia on Christmas Day. What Marlon doesn’t realise is it’s actually his surprise wedding to Jessie – resulting in him fainting and Sam feeling gutted. Meanwhile, after freaking out about turning 50, Bernice has some cheeky Botox – with disastrous results.

HOLLYOAKS

There are more wedding bells in ’Oaks as an excited Leela gets set to tie the knot with Louis. But it’s not going to end well, as Simone kisses Louis the day before and Zack sees. Begging his mum to stop the nuptials, will she? Also, Harry returns to the village to win back James.
