Justin Timberlake’s wife has a few questions for him
They supposedly have one of the most rock-solid relationships in showbiz. But Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel’s marriage took a serious knock last week, after Justin was pictured holding hands with his co-star Alisha Wainwright, who was then seen with her hand on his knee. In the aftermath, Jessica put on a brave face in public, making sure her wedding ring was visibly intact – but behind the scenes, we’re told, it’s a different story. According to insiders, Jessica is “livid”, and ready for an almighty face-off with her husband.
“However much he tries to downplay it, Justin’s been caught in a totally inappropriate situation,” says a source close to the actor, who was seen on video “drinking heavily” while on a night out with his co-stars in New Orleans, where they’re filming new movie Palmer. “You can’t blame Jessica for being livid. At the end of the day, Justin’s a married man, and she’s got questions – including why he wasn’t wearing his wedding ring. It’s driving her nuts and to make things worse, she’s back home in LA, so she has to suffer in silence, knowing he’s thousands of miles away with his glam co-star.”
Despite their strong reputation, this isn’t the first time that Justin and Jessica have been hit by scandal. The couple have been together since 2007, but split in 2011, before reuniting and marrying the following year. Over the years, Justin’s been dogged by cheating rumours – including being linked to actresses Olivia Munn and Ashley Olsen – but the couple have always rubbished the claims. But our source says Justin’s recent PDA has hit Jessica hard. In the video footage (above), the singer, who shares four-year-old son Silas with Jessica, is seen holding hands with Alisha, before she places her hand on his knee. She’s then seen stroking his leg.
Alisha’s dad defended his daughter, saying, “They are working on a movie together. I did not make anything of it, really.” But we’re told Jessica’s feeling annoyed and embarrassed. “She’s cringing, but she’s also seething,” says our insider. “Justin’s being sheepish and is hoping that the scandal will blow over. At the end of the day, Jessica loves him and will fight for her marriage – but he’s going to be in the doghouse for a long time.” n
