Even in the jungle, she can’t escape the cheating rumours
She entered the jungle to prove she’s “no doormat” and to get away from the constant speculation about her marriage – but Jacqueline Jossa’s problems seemed to have followed her Down Under.
Almost immediately, the I’m A Celeb… star was yet again confronted by whispers that her husband Dan Osborne had cheated on her with Love Islander Gabby Allen last year, prompting her (in scenes not broadcast) to threaten to quit the show. Now, as the mum of two prepares to re-enter the real world, the big question is, will this be the final blow for Jac and Dan?
It’s certainly been a trying time for Jacqueline, 27, who’s removed her wedding ring while other campmates have kept theirs on. Early in the series, off-air, fellow campmate Myles Stephenson reportedly told Jac he believed the stories surrounding his ex, Gabby, and Dan, who were rumoured to have hooked up during a work trip to Marbella in 2018, after they were pictured looking cosy on a yacht. While Gabby and Dan, 28, have always vehemently denied the rumours – and Gabby reportedly spoke to Jacqueline at the time to “reassure her” that nothing happened – Myles’ words apparently hit Jac hard.
According to insiders, producers allowed her and Dan – who married in 2017 and share
Ella, four, and one-year-old Mia – to speak via voice messages. And whatever was said between them seems to have calmed Jac’s nerves, as she was regaling the camp with tales of the early days of their relationship, telling her fellow campmates how she and Dan met at a London singles’ night called Slagbox.
When Jacqueline entered the jungle, she told us that one of the reasons she signed up to do the show was because she was fed up with people thinking she was miserable and “pitying” her, and to show that she was fun and up for a laugh.
Hopefully, the spiders and snakes will be the biggest scare she has in there. ■
