Gemma and Ray: ‘We’re going to Hollywood together’

Gc’s found her match in the doi champ

They’re both Dancing On Ice legends in their own, unique way – him for winning both the show and the All Stars version, and her for mouthing off at then-judge Jason Gardiner and serving up one of the most epic falls ever. But luckily for us, Ray Quinn and Gemma Collins still have more to give – and they’re about to prove it in Dancing On Ice’s Christmas special. Sitting down with heat, the unlikely pair get a tad icy with each other.

What can we expect from the Christmas show? Gemma: There will be a nice big surprise from me, obviously. It’ll be a nice little memory of my time on the show. Ray: It’s going to be fantastic, although I haven’t stepped out of my comfort zone so much. I first did the show in 2009 – I’m older now and I’ve got the fear! Gem, are you relieved that Jason’s not back as judge? G: Do you know what, honey?

The days of the nasty judge are gone – it’s all about moving with the times. Regarding Jason what’s-his-name, boring! R: For me, I always highly regarded Jason’s comments. He was critical, but he lived a life of competing in the dance world. G: But there’s being critical, Ray, and then there’s being rude and bullying someone. R: But then again, that’s part of the show, isn’t it? What else are you guys up to? R: I’m in panto in Bolton and I’ve been recording my album in Liverpool. I’m trying to bring Frank Sinatra into the 21st century. G: You’re coming to Hollywood with me! Did you know that I’m obsessed with Scousers? I want to buy a place up in Liverpool – maybe we could be neighbours? n

Dancing On Ice At Christmas is on ITV, 22 Dec, at 7pm. The new series starts in January
